"Full Circle"

A beautiful MOUNTAIN-
a thousand miles away
held beneath a wounded wind
A devout quest to CONQUER-
treading in vain
Dust choking a faint trail

No matter how hard I tried
my eyes could not uncover-
the sun that once so brightly shined
Necessitating a respite
in the quiet dusk
before I’m able to CLIMB again

Empty arms hindered my journey
Ordered to drink the cruel poison
They slashed my head
and ripped my spirit
My tears, I'll pull from their concrete hearts
and flee to safer ground
and wipe the broken bodies
as it goes in full circle
and I will linger-
in the VISION
while they eat their own flesh
