Dawn of a new day
Life beckons
Enforced upon me
Desire to run from the unbearable
Yet I cling once more
Asking myself why

Life holds mystical powers
Wonders of nature
Azure star-filled skies
Firmament of the heavens
Days decline offering a mild glimmer
Wintered wings of splendour
Lacy snow-covered fields
Fearless flight of the eagle
Superlative song of the thornbird
White-capped waves of the vast sea
Myriad hue of summer’s rose
Soliloquies of a thousand seasons

Dreams not so far away
God’s immeasurable love
A gift, He chose me to make a difference
Given a voice I speak to a stranger that is lonely
Eyes that have perception to lead the blind
Arms that reach out with boundless love
Listening to those that are unheard
Paradigm of His forgiveness
Showing others how to open their hearts
Inspiring a lost soul
Arousing a fading spirit
My purpose is profound
