A weary soldier
Trodden down from battle

Consuming him with fire

Deeply in love
Without the facade
of flesh
His heart belongs to her
Even through the distance
Her kiss belongs to him
Stamped in parchment
Filling emotion to heal the wounds

The winds of war forsake him
